Wine Label Photography PDF Print E-mail

There are times when a scan of a wine label with foil just will not reproduce, you've tried different angles, brightness settings, but they just do not look right, highlights blown out, silvers, all black.

The only way to really achieve the reproduction of labels with foiling is with digital or film photography. Digital photography is the prefered method for ease of workflow, and manipulation.

We can reproduce your foil labels, as it looks to the eye, foils on labels are difficult to reproduce unless you have experience in lighting techniques.

Prices for label reproduction start from $45. Files can be sent via email, as high quality jpg or as tiff files.  Some labels that use bright pantone colours may be out of the gamut of the digital sensor and may not reproduce as bright as on the original label. Files can be supplied as cmyk or as rgb files.

The sample below shows the difference between a scanned foiled label, and one photographed under specific lighting. Both have been edited in Photoshop.
The Photographed version has far superior gold colours than the scanned version. The scanned version could have had the gold foil fixed in photoshop but it would not look the same as the original label.
